William Eimicke
William Eimicke, Ph.D., is Professor of Practice in International and Public Affairs and founding director of the Picker Center for Executive Education at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Eimicke served as the Deputy Fire Commissioner for Strategic Planning and Policy of the Fire Department in New York under Mayor Michael Bloomberg (2007-10) and previously served as Commissioner of Housing of New York State. He has also held other positions in nance and housing for New York City and New York State. Eimicke has written or coauthored numerous books and articles on public policy and management, including several policy papers for Manhattan Institute. His most recent book, coauthored with Steven Cohen and Alison Miller, is Sustainability Policy: Hastening the Transition to a Cleaner Economy (2015). Eimicke received a President’s Global Innovation award from Columbia University in 2013.
