Douglas Murray

Douglas Murray is a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and contributing editor of City Journal. He is a journalist and the bestselling author of seven books, including The War on the West (2022), The Madness of Crowds (2019), and The Strange Death of Europe: Immigration, Identity, Islam (2017). Murray’s forthcoming book, On Democracies and Death Cults, will be released on April 8, 2025.   

 

Murray joined The Spectator as a contributor in 2000 and has been associate editor at the magazine since 2012. He is a columnist for the New York Post, The Free Press, The Sun, The Telegraph, and contributes regularly to numerous other outlets. In recent years, Murray has reported from the frontlines in Ukraine and documented the aftermath of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel. He is also a prolific debater and appears often on top political debate programs.
