Alex Armlovich
Alex Armlovich writes primarily on urban issues, such as housing, transportation, and infrastructure. He is the author of MI’s Poverty and Progress in New York series, which benchmarks quality-of-life indicators across NYC. Armlovich has also co-authored several reports with MI’s Howard Husock on nonprofit philanthropy and housing policy.
His articles have appeared in, among others, the New York Daily News, New York Post, U.S. News & World Report, Washington Examiner, and City Journal. Previously, Armlovich was a Taubman Senior Fellow at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and interned with the offices of Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) and with the deputy leader of the U.K. Labour Party. He holds a B.A. in economics and political science from the University of Rochester and an M.P.P. in social and urban policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
