How about prohibiting public unions from making campaign donations either directly or indirectly? Or if they do donate force them to make equal donations to both parties, since it is taxpayer funds they are donating. If that won't pass legally, then provide for city matching funds to donate to anyone the unions don't donate too.
How about prohibiting city employees from politicking period as a condition of employment?
How about geting rid of the public unions period?
Never happen, the "Working Families Party" is too powerful - and so the City will, once a Democrat is elected to the Mayor's office, resume its slide, that was oh so temporarily put off with Rudy Guiliani's election.
And once the financial industry is chased out of town, as will inevitably happen under a Democratic Mayor, New York City's "detroitification" will begin in ernest.
